28 senators to stage all-night climate change talk
A group of 26 Senate Democrats and two Independents will hold an all-night "talkathon" about climate change on the Senate floor Monday to "wake up" Congress.
The senators, many of whom are part of the Climate Action Task Force launched in January, will begin speaking after the last votes on Monday evening, and continue through Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
Participants will not be pushing for specific legislation. The senators are instead aiming to bring attention to the issue to spur congressional action.
Twitter users, including participating senators, joined the conversation online using #Up4Climate.
