A yearlong investigation carried out by The Associated Press and released this week found that over the past six years, about 1,000 police officers have lost their licenses to work in law enforcement because of sex crimes such as rape or for sexual misconduct, ranging from propositioning citizens to consensual but prohibited on-duty intercourse.
Some who were affected by the misconduct have opened up about their experiences.
