Surviving unspeakable violence, Syrian children thrive in new school

Al Jazeera visits a school in Turkey focusing on providing an education to Syrian children pulled out of school amid war

10 year old Abdullah Omar saw his father being killed by soldiers in his village in Syria. 

When he came to the Maram orphanage in Reyhanli, Turkey, 6 months ago, he was struggling with severe behavioural issues.

Mayada Abdi, director of the orphanage in tells us his story.
