David Doss, Al Jazeera America’s senior vice president of news programming, oversees Al Jazeera America’s production staff to create and produce 8 hours of news programming every day. Al Jazeera America offers a mix of national and international news featuring serious reporting, depth and the global reach of the Al Jazeera media networks.
Doss joined Al Jazeera America from CNN, where he was the senior executive producer for Anderson Cooper 360. Before that, Doss worked as an executive producer at ABC where he was executive producer of PrimeTime with Diane Sawyer and at NBC News where he was executive producer of NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. His excellence in journalism has earned him many awards including 14 national Emmy Awards, one national sports Emmy Award, three George Foster Peabody Awards, two Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards and one George Polk Award.
