Senior Vice President, Insights & Media Strategy
John Sollecito serves as Al Jazeera America’s executive vice president of insights and media strategy. He oversees the Al Jazeera America research teams across both digital and linear platforms. In addition, Sollecito is involved in overall brand and target audience strategy. Prior to joining Al Jazeera America, Sollecito served as senior vice president of cross platform research at Current TV. Prior to Current TV, he held senior research and strategy positions at the Associated Press and MTV Networks. During his career, Sollecito has been an innovator in media measurement, having served as one of the early employees of PC Meter; which created the first commercial ratings for digital platforms and is today know as comScore Media Metrix. In addition, he was charged with building and overseeing the first digital research organization for MTV Networks supporting world class brands like MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
