Bittersweet homecoming for deported Honduran migrant
When she left Honduras on the dangerous journey to the U.S. for the third time, Katia Orellana was prepared to never see her family again. But she didn’t get far before Mexican authorities sent her back home. As Mexico cracks down on Central American migrants, making it to the U.S. safely is increasingly unlikely, but many, like Orellana, say they will not stop trying. In this excerpt from America Tonight, Lori Jane Gliha travels to Honduras to find out why Orellana and other young migrants are risking so much to leave home.
