In Montana a city goes out on its own for stricter gun laws

Montana has some of the country’s most lenient gun laws. It also has the sixth-highest rate of gun deaths. Frustrated with little action at the state level, a group of Missoula residents are asking the City Council to pass an ordinance that would require universal background checks for nearly all private gun sales — something not required by state law. In this America Tonight excerpt, Adam May looks at how the city is trying to balance gun rights and regulations in one of the most pro-gun states in America.
