Milwaukee’s unlikely homicide spike

Across the U.S., many major cities are seeing a surge in homicide rates. So far in 2015, at least 30 have reported an increase in murders, including big cities known for violence, like Chicago and New York. But it's the much smaller Milwaukee that tops that national list, with a staggering increase in the number of murders this year, compared to the same period last year. In this America Tonight excerpt, Sarah Hoye travels to her hometown to understand the causes and consequences of gun violence on Milwaukee's residents.
