For nonviolent drug offenders, a second chance

It’s rare to see Democrats and Republicans agree, but there is one area that has recently gained bipartisan support: criminal justice reform. Both parties are hoping to shorten sentences for nonviolent drug offenders in an effort to reduce prison populations. Last month President Barack Obama granted clemency to 22 federal prisoners. One of them was Rudolph Norris, who was convicted of selling crack in 1992 and spent 30 years in federal prison. In this America Tonight excerpt, Joie Chen speaks to Norris about the ups and downs of trying to readjust to life on the outside.
