Since losing her brother in 2007, Jenn Herbstritt has tried to make sense of the senseless
In 2007, Jenn Herbstritt lost her older brother, Jeremy Herbstritt, in the mass shooting at Virginia Tech. She says that in the wake of that tragedy, all the media attention made it especially hard to experience a full range of emotions. She and her other siblings ultimately channeled their anger and grief into a bike ride across the U.S. in their brother’s memory. She later wrote a book about their journey. In this America Tonight clip, she talks about her experience in an effort to reach out to other families who have lost loved ones in mass shootings.
