El Niño could mean disaster for Guatemala

The most powerful El Niño in 50 years has already been wreaking havoc on weather patterns worldwide. Whether it's Hurricane Patricia slamming into Mexico's coast or the incredible snowfalls in New Mexico, El Niño has left a path of destruction in its wake. For many small-scale farmers in Guatemala, El Niño means disaster and possible starvation. In this America Tonight excerpt, Dave Mercer speaks to the farmers who have already seen their crops wither because of El Niño – and fear the worst is yet to come.
