The clerk returned to work, still refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses but not stopping deputy clerks

Kentucky clerk Kim Davis returned to work

Davis has questioned the legal validity of the marriage licenses issued while she was in prison and the ones that continue to be issued without her consent. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has said the licenses are valid and legal. Davis’ attorney's have filed a lawsuit against Beshear, accusing him of failing to provide an accommodation for her.
