Redskin – racist slur or loyal football fan? That’s the question this season, as everyone from Bob Costas to President Obama has weighed in on whether the team should change its name. So, should the Washington Redskins switch to something different? What about other teams with Native American mascots and imagery? Some Native American groups are campaigning against use of the Redskins name. The Oneida Indian Nation, who are leading the fight against the Redskins' name with their Change the Mascot effort, thanked their supporters in honor of Thanksgiving.
