E-cigarettes are being blamed for a 161% increase in calls to poison control centers nationally. Yet, because manufacturers make no therapeutic claims, the FDA does not regulate them. With health experts expressing concern about youth marketing, nicotine addiction, and even child poisoning, we explore whether the $1.5 billion dollar e-cigarette business should be treated any differently from regular cigarettes.
