Should those condemned to death be forced to face the firing squad? Since 1976, the U.S. has carried out nearly 1,400 executions – 87% by lethal injection. But prisons are no longer able to get the drugs. That’s led some states to consider returning to the use of firing squads, electric chairs and gas chambers. Critics argue this violates the 8th amendment protection from cruel and unusual punishment. We discuss if it’s time to reevaluate how people are punished for their crimes at 7:30pmET.
