Domestic violence vigils across the country honor victims

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, communities across the country held vigils to remember domestic violence victims and increase awareness about the prevalence of domestic assault in the U.S. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, one in four women has experienced severe physical violence by her partner in her lifetime.
