Among a field of NFL players wearing pink apparel for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall chose to wear green shoes instead to bring attention to another cause--Mental Illness Awareness Week. Despite knowing he would be fined for violating the NFL dress code, Marshall decided to use the October 10 game against the New York Giants to highlight his foundation and mental health advocacy work.

Marshall said he plans to pay the fine and match the penalty amount with a donation to charity.
