The death of 13-year-old Andy Lopez at the hands of a Sonoma County deputy has led to an FBI investigation as well as a large demonstration by members of the Santa Rosa, California community on Tuesday. Lopez, who was carrying a toy BB gun in the shape of an AK-47, was shot seven times by deputy Erick Gelhaus in a span of 26 seconds. The Sonoma County Sheriff's office justified the shooting, stating Lopez was told twice to drop his weapon. However, frustration toward the police response continues to grow.
