University of Texas slams 'catch an illegal immigrant' game

The University of Texas at Austin issued a statement condemning a controversial "catch an illegal immigrant" game where participants are encouraged to turn in students wearing "illegal immigrant" badges in exchange for $25 gift cards. The event, organized by the UT-Austin chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) to occur on Wednesday, has seen a strong reaction from the UT community, prompting a response from Dr. Gregory J. Vincent, vice president of the university's Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.
