Coinciding with a new report about "excess winter deaths" in the United Kingdom, three anti-austerity groups led a London protest against the country's soaring energy bills. UK Uncut, Fuel Poverty Action and Disabled People Against Cuts spoke out against a report by the Office for National Statistics which stated that cold weather conditions contributed to 31,000 deaths last winter, a 29 percent increase from the previous year.
