Texas man falls through cracks of justice system

Though Jerry Hartfield's murder conviction and life sentence were overturned in 1980, he remains in a Texas prison waiting for a retrial more than 33 years later. On November 26, there was a hearing in the Hartfield case, and more are scheduled in the coming weeks, but there is no clear indication that Hartfield, now in his late 50s, will ever be released.
