Over the weekend, protests condemning an alleged chemical attack in Syria took place in several cities across the country, including Chicago, Boston, Miami, Orlando, and McAllen, Texas. Protesters, mostly of Syrian descent, shared images and videos of their demonstrations via social media. Protesters accused Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian government of responsibility for the alleged attack, which anti-Assad factions said claimed more than 1,100 lives.
