This afternoon, President Obama gave a speech explaining his plan to take action on Syria. In his remarks, the President condemned the use of chemical weapons against Syrian civilians, and said U.S. intelligence "made a powerful case that the Syrian government was responsible" for their use. He then said he decided that the U.S. should use military force against Syrian government targets, but also indicated that he would first seek the approval of Congress.
