Professor removed from no-fly list, but full ruling kept secret

Dr. Rahinah Ibrahim, 48, became the first person to successfully challenge placement on the U.S. government's no-fly list Tuesday, when a district court ruled that her placement on the list had been a mistake.

Judge William Alsup, however, kept his full ruling classified, preventing public scrutiny of how Ibrahim was initially placed on the no-fly list, as well as any determination of whether these processes were constitutional. Instead, the district court released a summary of the judge's opinion.
