Weeks of Venezuelan protests culminated Tuesday when a key opposition leader turned himself in to authorities. Soon after Leopoldo Lopez gave himself up after attending an anti-government rally in Caracas, Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro spoke to a large crowd of supporters, calling for an end to the violence that has resulted in three deaths

Venezuela's Twitter community has been sharing images about both stories, with several related hashtags dominating the conversation online. Much like on the streets, where the opposition dons white and Maduro supporters sport red, the distinctions between groups is evident online.
