Northeastern University's decision to suspend its chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine has generated backlash online and prompted a discussion on freedom of speech on college campuses.

The group was informed last week that their chapter had been suspended, which it attributes to a February action in which students distributed mock eviction notices in the school's residence halls to raise awareness about the demolition of Palestinian homes.

In addition to the suspensions, SJP has stated that two of its members are being considered for expulsion.
