Thousands marched on Kentucky's state Capitol in Frankfort Wednesday to observe the 50th anniversary of a historic civil rights march – one that featured Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Jackie Robinson.

Though the Frankfort event celebrated the civil rights advancements of the last half-century, participants also highlighted progress yet to be made by rallying in favor of pending legislation that would restore voting rights to ex-felons.
