Sports: the new frontier for drones

The prospect of commercial drones hovering over football fields and ski mountains is already a reality – and one that will continue to grow, according to the speakers at SXSW's "Drones in Sports"  Saturday session.

The panel featured Ty Hildenbrandt of "The Solid Verbal" college football podcast and Ryan Baker of the aerial photography and videography company Arch Aerial. They covered a range of topics, from the buzz around e-commerce company Amazon's plans for drone deliveries, to new uses of drones in sporting events, to the legal ramifications of drones.
