Syrian refugees scramble to leave Hungary

Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have fled their country by land and sea to reach Europe, where they hope to be granted asylum from more than four years of brutal civil war. However, not all of them have been greeted with warm welcome.

AJ+ deployed a team to Budapest, Hungary, where the government has deployed the military and enacted harsh measures to halt the influx of refugees. The team will follow a group of Syrians on their journey through the country as they make their way to Western Europe.
