Matthieu Aikins

Matthieu Aikins is a journalist based in Kabul, Afghanistan. He has reported from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Libya for publications like Harper’s, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, GQ and Wired. He received the 2013 George Polk Award and Medill Medal for Courage in Journalism for his work exposing war crimes in Afghanistan and has been nominated for the National Magazine Award. His work has been featured in the anthology “The Best American Magazine Writing 2012.”
