David Bacon is a journalist and photographer based in California and the author of several books on labor and immigration, most recently, “The Right to Stay Home.” His work has also appeared in The Nation, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and other outlets. Before his journalism career, he was an organizer for several unions, including the UFW and UE, and was a farmworker.
