A longtime journalist in Tucson, Margaret Regan has won many prizes for her border and immigration reporting. "Detained and Deported: Stories of Immigrant Families Under Fire" is her second book. Her first, "The Death of Josseline: Immigration Stories from the Arizona Borderlands," also from Beacon Press, was named a 2010 Southwest Book of the Year.
