Joel Shurkin

Joel Shurkin is a Baltimore-based freelance writer. He is formerly science editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer where he was on the team that won a Pulitzer Prize, science writer emeritus at Stanford University and the author of nine books on science and the history of science. He has taught journalism at Stanford, the University of California at Santa Cruz and the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
