Tonight, Consider This host Antonio Mora will be joined by Maajid Nawaz, the author of the memoir "Radical: My Journey from Islamist Extremism to a Democratic Awakening."

"Radical" covers Nawaz's feelings of alienation growing up as a British boy of Pakistani descent, how he came to embrace a politicized form of Islam, the time he spent in an Egyptian prison, and how he gained his freedom and rejected what he calls "Islamist extremism."

Nawaz is the co-founder and chairman of the Quilliam Foundation, which calls itself the "world’s first counter-extremism think tank."

In a TEDGlobal Talk from 2011, Nawaz shared his vision to build a "global culture" to fight extremism and promote democracy. To that end, he has co-founded Khudi, a Pakistan-based social movement aimed at encouraging youth to advocate for democracy.

Tune in to Consider This at 10pm ET/7pm PT to hear Nawaz discuss his eventful life and provocative views. Leave your questions for Nawaz below and Consider This social media producer Hermela Aregawi may share them during the show. You can also share them with Hermela on Twitter (@HermelaTV).
