Cuts to food stamp benefits to affect 1 in 7 in the US

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) will join Consider This host Antonio Mora to discuss cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that will take effect Friday. Then, Ira Stoll, the editor and founder of FutureOfCapitalism.com, and Lucy Melcher, a senior manager at Share Our Strength, an advocacy group that fights hunger, will join Mora to discuss how nearly 48 million Americans will be impacted.

Director Jehane Noujaim and actor-activist Khalid Abdalla will join Antonio Mora to dicuss their documentary, "The Square," which chronicles the political upheaval in Egypt from 2011 to 2013.

Sex crimes on campus: An Al Jazeera America town hall

Antonio Mora and America Tonight host Joie Chen will host a live town hall about sexual assaults on college campuses this Friday at 9pm ET/6pm PT. The town hall will look at how campus culture may fuel assaults, discuss the latest research on college rapists, and explore what can be done to prevent campus assaults.

YouTube to host its own music award show

Al Jazeera culture critic Bill Wyman joins Antonio Mora to talk about how YouTube, a main online destination for watching music videos, plans to host an awards ceremony on Nov. 3.
