What is the legacy of Nelson Mandela?

Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa who fought to end apartheid in his country, died Thursday at age 95. Tonight, Consider This will explore the legacy of Mandela and look back on his accomplishments.

Several guests will offer their perspectives on Mandela:  

• Temba Maqubela
Headmaster of The Groton School. Maqubela's grandfather taught Mandela, and his grandmother visited Mandela in prison. 

• Jason Johnson
Al Jazeera English contributor and a professor of political science at Hiram College. 

• Joel Barkan
Professor emeritus of political science at the University of Iowa and senior associate of the Center for Strategic and International Studies' Africa Program.

Then, Bill Wyman (@hitsville), an Al Jazeera culture critic and former arts editor at NPR, will discuss how Mandela has been celebrated in popular culture.
