Washington, D.C. police say suspected gunman Aaron Alexis shot and killed at least 12 people and injured several others at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday morning before he died after exchanging fire with authorities. Hank Paulson doc looks back on the financial crisis, five years later

Five years after the collapse of the investment firm Lehman Brothers, a new documentary on the Great Recession, "Hank: 5 Years From the Brink," includes the reflections of former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, who spurred Congress to approve a multi-billion-dollar bailout of the financial sector in 2008. Josh Tyrangiel, the editor of Bloomberg Businessweek and a co-producer of the documentary, joins Consider This host Antonio Mora to discuss the film.

New book, film provide unprecedented insights into author J.D. Salinger

For more than 40 years, J.D. Salinger, the author of "The Catcher in the Rye," avoided public appearances and was said to be writing. None of his work, though, was published after 1965. Now, a new biography and documentary film, both entitled "Salinger," reveal intimate details about the author's life and claim that he left instructions to publish his new work, beginning in 2015. Shane Salerno, a co-author of the biography and the director of the documentary, will join Consider This host Antonio Mora to discuss Salinger. Find out more about the film.
