Politicians call for Puerto Rican statehood at Capitol rally

Several prominent Puerto Rican politicians as well as national conservative leaders participated in a rally for Puerto Rican equality outside the Capitol on Tuesday, calling for Congress to act on a 2012 plebiscite where a majority rejected the island's current territorial status and opted for entry as the 51st state.
