Samuel is a native of Portland, Maine.

Before joining Al Jazeera, Sweta was a freelance documentary producer and editor in New York City. In 2005, she traveled to Mumbai, India, on a Fulbright student grant and subsequently returned to India to produce two short documentaries on gender and political issues.

Dana Merwin, Production Manager

Prior to joining Al Jazeera America,  Dana was director of operations for Jupiter Entertainment in Los Angeles, where she oversaw delivery of various series to Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and TLC.
