Bulletproof whiteboards go to college
"The New York Times" reports that the University of Maryland Eastern Shore has purchased 200 bulletproof whiteboards made by Hardwire, making it the first university client to adopt the anti-ballistic shields in classrooms:
“We just wanted to add one more tool to help us ensure the safety of the campus community,” said Ernest Leatherbury, chief of campus police. “The whiteboards are user-friendly and noninvasive.”
Our report on Hardwire's products by "TechKnow" contributor—and former CIA analyst and operations officer—Lindsay Moran will re-air Wednesday at 2:30pm EST/11:30am PST, then again on Saturday at 2:30pm EST/11:30am PST.
