Welcome to TechKnow

On behalf of the contributors and producers, welcome to "TechKnow"! We've been hard at work exploring the intersection of hardware and humanity, all the ways that innovations in science and technology impact the way we live—or will live—our everyday lives.

Our contributors bring a unique perspective to the field—they each have a background in science or other technical fields. They've discovered new species and invented high-tech devices straight out of sci-fi movies. Many continue to work and actively research subjects similar to those they'll cover for "TechKnow." (We'll be announcing even more expert contributors in coming weeks.)

And we're committed to continuing the conversation with our contributors and other experts we've interviewed through social media—post-show Google Hangouts, live Twitter commentary and exclusive behind the scenes web extras that take you inside "TechKnow" shoots.
