Unplugging to recharge

Is modern tech bringing us closer together or farther apart? People who have digitally disconnected share their take.

How long would you last without your smartphone? Internet? Air conditioning? Thousands of Americans are disconnecting from technology to change aspects of their lives. Some do it to reduce their carbon footprint, others because they mistrust the government and big data collection. Is  life “off the grid”  the perfect escape from modern problems?
