Welcome to our first-ever #TweetOff: One topic. Two debaters. Eight tweets each. The winner? You decide.
On June 29, 2014, ISIL proclaimed itself to be a caliphate for Muslims worldwide and renamed itself the Islamic State.
The armed group Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) has made international headlines due to its sudden rise and gruesome war crimes, such as beheadings of minorities and the kidnapping and murder of journalists.
Are these atrocities committed in the name of Islam? We debate.
The Rules

2. Each debater has 3 tweets for responses/rebuttals.
